My name is Emma Jewell Barnett. I’m a graphic designer, illustrator, and aspiring animator, and most importantly, I can’t spell.
I was born and raised in the Seattle area, where I currently work as a designer at Brooks Running.
Storytelling is my passion. Whether it's animated, painted, performed, or designed, I am fascinated by all the beautiful and versatile ways to tell stories. Although I’m currently working as a graphic designer, it's my dream to be a short-form 2D animator. Animations like Pixar shorts or Over the Garden Wall are among my biggest inspirations, and I'm working hard to make that dream a reality. When I'm not spending time with friends and family, you can find me drawing, reading movie art books (Iron Giant is my favorite), playing indie games, taking dance lessons, thrifting, or staring at my frog, Wirt.
