I had the joy of making my younger sister's wedding invitations. She and her husband both have a green thumb, so I wanted to focus on something floral. After presenting a few floral options, we unanimously decided upon this illustrative Art Nouveau approach. I decided to digitally illustrate both invites, which allowed me to play with different color palettes and floral species. Sunflowers and poppies were in her bridal bouquet, so we incorporated those for the Save the Date invites along with a lighter, spring color palette. We decided to use ferns for the actual invites, which played perfectly into her October wedding palette and were so fun and twisty to draw.
